Sobre Esta Oportunidade

The Australian Tapestry Workshop (ATW) in South Melbourne invites mid‑career textile artists and designers to apply for its 2027 Artist in Residence Program. Five residencies are available: the Hancock Fellowship (16 August – 11 September) for international mid‑career practitioners, the First Peoples Residency (1 – 28 February) for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists, an Open Call Residency (13 September – 9 October) open to any Australian‑based artist, and a Regional Residency (8 November – 4 December) for artists living and working in regional Australia. Each residency provides a dedicated working space in ATW’s weaving studio, up to AUD 100 worth of yarn and materials, ten hours of specialist studio support, access to textile equipment and an online weaving course, as well as exhibition space in ATW’s galleries. The Hancock Fellowship additionally includes return flights to Melbourne, four weeks of accommodation, a $1,000 exhibition fee, and a $2,500 stipend; the First Peoples and Regional residencies each offer a $2,500 stipend.
