Corsicana Artist and Writer Residency
Sobre Esta Oportunidade

The Corsicana Artist and Writer Residency invites artists and writers of international, United States, and Texas origin to participate in a two‑month, fully funded studio residency at 100 West, a historic 1890s Odd Fellows lodge in downtown Corsicana, Texas. Each term—Winter (January 4–February 23), Spring (March 1–April 27), and Fall (October 11–December 7)—hosts two artists and one writer, providing private furnished studios with lodging, professional documentation of work in photo, video, and writing, and access to a range of equipment including digital projectors, an intaglio press, construction tools, and a wood shop. Residents receive transportation to and from Dallas/Fort Worth airports, bicycles, and introductions to the Dallas/Fort Worth cultural network. Expectations include a 20‑minute presentation on the second Thursday of the term and open studios on the last Saturday, with optional studio visits with MFA students in Dallas that carry a $500 honorarium. Eligibility is limited to one applicant per studio; ceramic, fiberglass, aerosol‑based work is not accommodated, and sound‑based work is generally not hosted (inquire first). Families and pets are not accommodated. The application fee is $30, with a one‑time, non‑refundable $200 administration fee for selected applicants due by November 1, 2026. The residency offers a fully funded studio and lodging, making it an attractive opportunity for artists and writers seeking intensive studio time in a supportive, historic setting.
