Where We Gather - September 2025 Exhibition

“Where We Gather” is a community-centered art exhibit that invites local artists to reflect on the spaces — both ordinary and sacred — where connection happens in Ocala and across the world. This theme is about more than physical structures; it’s about the rituals, relationships, and rhythms that turn spaces into places of belonging. Where are your gathering places? Who do you return to? What sounds, textures, and memories live there? We welcome submissions in all mediums — painting, sculpture, photography, video, textile, sound, and mixed media — that explore the layered meanings of home, hospitality, and communal presence. Artists are encouraged to draw from personal experience, local traditions, neighborhood landmarks, and cultural practices that make the act of gathering a source of comfort, resilience, and joy.
