The Derwent Art Prize 2026

The Derwent Art Prize 2026 is a competition open to artists aged 18 or over on 1 January 2026. The competition is organized by The Cumberland Pencil Company, based in the UK. The competition is open to artists aged 18 or over on 1 January 2026. Artists are invited to submit up to 6 works created in pencil. The submitted work must be original and created in pencil (including water-soluble, pastel, graphite, charcoal or coloured pencils). Each work must not exceed 182 cm in its greatest dimension, and there is no minimum size limit. To enter the competition, participants must complete an online application form and upload images of their works. Artists selected for the exhibition will be required to deliver the original artworks.
