The Blue Camel - The Journey to Vietnam

This 10-day residency is an immersive, backpacking-style creative journey through Northern Vietnam, designed for artists, storytellers, and cultural seekers. Moving through Hanoi, Sa Pa, and other highland villages, participants engage with local traditions, crafts, and landscapes while creating reflective, site-responsive work. The program emphasizes presence, dialogue, and discovery—offering an unhurried rhythm of travel where participants walk, witness, and weave meaning through writing, sketching, photography, or other mediums. Through shared meals, conversations with locals, and studio-style reflections in nature, the residency nurtures inner and outer exploration. This is not a typical studio residency. It is a moving encounter—a creative pilgrimage—where travel itself becomes the medium.
