Temporary protection stays for artists and cultural workers at risk at cultural institutions

The Martin Roth Initiative is a joint project of the Goethe-Institut and Ifa – Institut für Auslandsbeziehungen, funded by the Federal Foreign Office. The MRI supports artists who actively stand up for artistic freedom, democracy and human rights – and against all forms of discrimination. With the funding, cultural institutions in Germany can create a safe space in which creative work is free and protected.
