Sacatar Open Call 2025 / Chamada Aberta 2025 - Res Artis

This is an Open Call for Fellowships at the Instituto Sacatar, located in Itaparica, Bahia, Brazil. Individual artists of all nationalities and disciplines may apply. We are not accepting Group Proposals in this Open Call. Sacatar provides creative individuals an immersive intercultural experience. While we often use the term “artist” to refer to our residents, we interpret creativity in the broadest sense. We welcome creative individuals from all disciplines and backgrounds, regardless of race, creed, national origin, gender, age, sexual orientation, marital status, ancestry, disability, or HIV status. Sacatar provides at no cost to the artist: – a private room with attached bathroom – a separate studio suitable for the artist’s discipline – all meals except Saturday evenings, Sundays and Brazilian holidays – logistic support to engage with the local culture and/or local communities if the artist so wishes.
