About This Opportunity

The Royal Society of Marine Artists (RSMA) seeks submissions of artwork inspired by the sea and marine environment for its Annual Exhibition 2026, to be shown alongside works by RSMA members at Mall Galleries, London. The open call is open to artists aged 18 or over from any country. Up to six works may be entered per artist (maximum four may be selected). Acceptable media include oil, acrylic, watercolour, original prints (excluding photography), mixed media, textiles, drawing, pastel and sculpture. Works must be original, marine‑related (tidal waters) and not previously exhibited. Submissions are online only and close on Friday 24 July 2026 (12 noon). A non‑refundable entry fee of £22 per work applies (£14.50 for artists under 35). Selected artists will have their work exhibited from 16 September to 26 September 2026, receive a private view invitation, and be eligible for a range of prizes totalling over £5,000, including the £2,000 Baltic Exchange Award. The exhibition offers the opportunity to sell work and to join a network of marine artists dating back to 1939.
