RMB Latitudes CuratorLab 2025

Now in its fourth year, RMB Latitudes CuratorLab is a mentorship initiative designed to support early-career curators from Africa through hands-on experience, peer engagement, and professional development. In 2025, ten aspiring curators will be guided through a facilitated online residency, designed to offer practical experience in the industry and to hone their curatorial skills. Here at Latitudes, we know that programmes focused on fostering professional practice skills for young curators on the continent are slim. As such, in an exciting new development, we have partnered with Art School Africa, a registered non-profit organisation committed to rethinking arts education across the continent. For the fourth iteration of CuratorLab, we will be working with curators across the African continent, with South Africa being its main focus. No formal training is needed and practical curatorial experience is preferred. Drawing on its extensive network and research-driven approach, Art School Africa has developed a well-rounded and comprehensive education programme, featuring a dynamic lineup of speakers.
