Revitalizing Rituals - Open Call

Liszt Institute**Hungarian Cultural Centre London**
Deadline: July 20, 2026

About This Opportunity

Applications are now open for the international artistic open call, Revitalizing Rituals. Revitalizing Rituals is an artistic research and residency programme supported by Creative Europe , operating in the interstice between inherited knowledge, today’s complex realities, and contemporary artistic practice. It seeks to translate rituals into forms that navigate the fracture between human communities, the land and other living forms. The programme takes place across two locations: Somogy in Hungary and the Bhar Lazreg district in Tunisia. The residency is designed for artists and creative practitioners interested in working with food, ecology, rituals, storytelling, and relational artistic forms. It is open to all artistic practices, including sound, movement, visual arts, installation, performance, and transdisciplinary practices. The open call is not only aimed at local artists but also welcomes those living in the diaspora who have connections to Hungary, Tunisia, or the wider region. Selected artists will receive an artist fee, a production budget, travel support, accommodation, and professional mentoring.
