Rest in Motion · Summer Dance Workshops

Set in the remote wild beauty of Paleohori, nestled in the mountains of Lefkada, this summer dance program offers a rare opportunity to reconnect with your unique movement through dance improvisation, experiential anatomy, artistic expression and somatic exploration. In a world that often equates movement with effort and rest with stillness, Rest in Motion invites you to explore a space where these opposites dissolve into one another. Across four immersive periods, participants will engage with workshops led by international facilitators, each bringing their own approach to dance and embodied practice, offering tools to uncover new pathways of expression and perception and inviting you to being fully present in your body—moving not out of habit or expectation, but from a place of deep listening and awareness. The experience extends beyond the dance floor: Life at Paleohori is a rhythm of its own—waking up early in the morning with the sounds of the forest, sharing nourishing meals, resting under the shade of trees, and moving together in an open-air wooden studio surrounded by cypress trees and kermes oaks. The space itself becomes a part of the process: a nest where movement is not forced but inviting and unfolding, where rest is not passive but deeply alive. Sharing the space is an essential part of this journey. A temporary community forms, built on mutual care, support, and shared exploration. From heart circles to late-night conversations under the stars, and from dancing to sharing the maintenance of the space, every aspect of daily life feeds into a sense of connection—both with oneself and with others. Movement is not just something we do, but something we experience in a relational and expansive way.
