Deadline: July 30, 2026

About This Opportunity

County Hall Pottery in Toronto is inviting applications for its 2027 Potter in Residence Program, a year‑long, studio‑based residency that blends creative practice with community engagement. Applicants—artists, designers, potters, ceramicists, craftspeople, functional makers, fine artists, and other clay practitioners—will receive dedicated studio space, seven‑day studio access, free use of kilns, recycled clay, and standard studio materials. The residency also offers professional support, paid teaching opportunities, and a solo exhibition in December 2027. Residents are expected to contribute 20 hours per week to studio, gallery, teaching programme, exhibitions, events, and the wider County Hall Pottery community. Applications open from 1 June and close at midnight on 30 July 2026. The application process involves reviewing the full open call and application guidance (PDF) and submitting a PDF application via the provided form. The program is recurring annually and offers a comprehensive, supportive environment for clay artists to develop and showcase their work.
