Open Call for Creative Artists
About This Opportunity
The Black: Cite; Sight– Site project invites visual artists, designers, performers, and cultural workers to create a site-specific exhibition that reactivates the Presidente Gallery — affectionately known as the Reggae Gallery and Black Gallery — a historic node of commerce, affinity, and Afro-diasporic cultural infrastructure in the center of São Paulo. This activation is part of the Black: Cite; Sight– Site, a transnational Afro-diasporic project that coincides with the 36th São Paulo Biennial. This project includes a public exhibition of a week with open studios in the gallery (2 to 9 September). All selected proposals will receive financial support to finalize and install the work in a space that we will still define, in the Reggae Gallery.
