OPEN CALL FOR CONTRIBUTIONS: A42 HOUSE

We are exploring what it means to ‘be’ at ‘home’ in Johannesburg in the context of urbanization, gentrification, and ongoing spatial apartheid. What do you need to see, touch, taste or smell, intuit or dream to claim space, belonging and comfort in places where you are new, returning or previously excluded from? What are the things that make you feel that you can BE at home? We are looking to borrow, share and honour your narrative objects: personal items, clothing, tools, crafts, art, heirlooms, photos, materials, scents, etc.
