ArtbankSA Opens 2025 Annual Call for Contemporary South African Art Acquisitions Artists nationwide are invited to submit applications for artwork purchases through South Africa’s premier art acquisition programme. The Art Bank of South Africa (ArtbankSA) has announced its highly anticipated 2025 Annual Acquisitions Call-to-Artists, inviting contemporary South African artists from all nine provinces to submit their finest works for consideration. This prestigious programme, operated under the Department of Sport, Arts and Culture’s Mzansi Golden Economy strategy, offers artists an exceptional platform to have their work acquired for ArtbankSA’s growing national collection. The call welcomes submissions from emerging artists representing urban, peri-urban, and rural communities throughout South Africa. Artists may submit up to five contemporary artworks for consideration.
