Curated by Dario Mohr, Founder and Director of AnkhLave Arts Alliance at Tafaria Castle & Center for the Arts We are pleased to announce an open call for Black U.S.-based artists to participate in the upcoming exhibition, Echoes of Home, to be held in, Kenya. This exhibition seeks to explore themes of ancestral identity, cultural reclamation, and the diasporic experience through two-dimensional artworks. Echoes of Home invites artists to present works that delve into the complexities of ancestral identity, drawing connections between the artists' heritage and the rich cultural tapestry of the African continent. Through paintings, drawings, and mixed-media pieces, artists are encouraged to reflect on personal narratives, historical connections, and the journey of reclaiming lost or obscured identities.
Restrictions
- Artists of African Descent based in the U.S. - Mediums Accepted: Paintings, Prints, Photography, Collage, Textile, Pastel, and all other 2D media - Dimensions no larger than 30"x30"
