Open Call: Artist Residency at Hawai'i Volcanoes National Park
About This Opportunity
Artists interested in the natural splendor and sublimity of the Hawai'ian Islands are invited to apply for a National Parks Arts Foundation artist residency at Hawai'i Volcanoes National Park, which will take place in April 2026. The park is located on Hawai'i's Big Island, with active volcanoes Kīlauea and Mauna Loa onsite. As described on the National Parks Arts Foundation website, within the park's boundaries are “mysterious and ever-changing active lava flows, as well as legendary lava tubes, active lava vents, and extensive greenscapes and rainforests. … For artists, the park offers dramatic volcanic landscapes, glimpses of rare flora and fauna, and a view into the sacred Hawaiian culture connected to these landscapes.”
