Open Call: Artist Residencies "AiR Leopoldplatz 2025"

The Department of Art, Culture and History of the Mitte District Office is awarding Artist Residencies as part of the district's measure to revitalize the Leopoldplatz. Projects by individuals or groups that artistically engage with the situation on and around the Leopoldplatz are supported. The beneficiaries are to spend time on the Leopoldplatz. Subsequently, the results of the artistic engagement are to be presented publicly. Possible are artistic mediation projects with event character, such as sociocultural workshops, readings, concerts or other performances, as well as site-specific artistic interventions. In the event of funding, the Department of Art, Culture and History will gladly support the mediation with local cultural institutions in the district as needed and possible. Artists of all genres and disciplines are invited to apply. In particular, artists and initiatives from the Wedding are called upon to apply. A total of 25,000 euros are available for all residencies. The maximum funding amount is 6,500 euros per residency. Projects can start as early as mid-June and must be implemented by December 31, 2025. The application deadline is May 22, 2025.
