About This Opportunity

Festival Trail invites filmmakers and digital artists to submit short vertical videos (maximum 90 seconds) that explore, advocate for, or imagine the future of the Los Angeles River Path. The contest runs until July 28, 2026, with a final deadline of July 29, 2026 for judging. Three categories are offered: Best Exploration of the LA River and its Greenway, Best Advocacy to Finish the Pedestrian/Bike Path, and Best Imagination of Future Possibilities. A $500 grand prize and $100 prizes for each category will be awarded as gift cards to local bike or running shops. Submissions will be used in Festival Trail’s advocacy campaign and may be featured on social media. Participants must be 18 or older (younger entrants may submit with a parent/guardian), create original content, keep videos vertical and under 90 seconds, and label any AI‑generated material. The contest is open to all creators, with no entry fee.
