Since 1877, the Art and Crafts Association has brought people together who want to live out their love for the various forms of applied art and pass it on. Our association has founded and managed the Museum of Applied Arts for the first 40 years. It was already supported by the Polytechnic Society in the early days. Today, the association is one of its seven daughter institutes. With its approximately 500 members, the association forms a network of collectors and patrons, craftsmen and designers, art lovers and companies in the Frankfurt Rhein-Main region and beyond. The association works through lectures and events as well as through acquisitions for large and small projects of the museum. The Historical Villa Metzler on the Schaumainkai has become a cultural meeting place through the Art and Crafts Association. Since over 140 years, the Friends' Circle has accompanied an extraordinary museum and devoted itself to well-designed things.
