International Symposium of Contemporary Sculpture 6th Edition: 2025

The Symposium project, initiated in 2020, is a permanent fixture in the programme of artist residencies organised by the Centre and is aimed at professional artists. During the two-week symposium, participants will create original spatial projects (sculptures, installations or objects) responding to the theme of the meeting and intended for display in the picturesque surroundings of the Orońsko sculpture park. All sculptural techniques and materials are permitted, provided they can be confronted with nature and displayed outdoors for an extended period. In addition to creative workshops, the programme includes participants’ lectures on their own artistic practice and discussions on key challenges of contemporary culture and the ways in which artists respond to them. Moreover, the Symposium is intended to provide artists with the opportunity to gain new experiences, develop new skills and establish new contacts with individuals involved in the arts and staying at the Centre. The event will conclude with a public presentation of the completed works in the Orońsko park, scheduled to remain on display for a period of 2 years.
