Inscriptions open for the 2026 Edital of the Cineteatro 2 de Julho

Cultural producers and artists can participate in the Edital de Ocupação de Pauta of the CineTeatro 2 de Julho in the first semester of 2026, which will receive proposals until September 25. Producers from the performing arts, music, audiovisual, and multilingual can participate. The registrations are free and must be made exclusively through an online form, available on the official website of the Irdeb and on the Instagram profile of the Cineteatro (@cineteatro2dejulho). The selected productions will be performed between January 12 and July 30, 2026, strengthening artistic and cultural production in Bahia. The selection will take into account artistic quality, execution feasibility, and consonance with public policies, as well as the singularity of each cultural proposal. The preliminary result will be disclosed until October 24, 2025, and the final result of the enabled proposals, until December 6, 2025. The 2 de Julho Cineteatro is a space destined, preferably, to Bahian productions. A year after its reinauguration, it has consolidated itself as one of the main cultural spaces in Bahia. Delivered to the population by the State Government in August 2024, the equipment has more than 18,000 visitors, being an important center for cultural promotion.
