Immersions from North to South: Map of Artistic Residencies in Brazil
About This Opportunity
The residency program for young Latin American artists is one of the central axes of the Adelina Institute, since the space was created in 2017 as an art gallery. Education is the other strategic axis of the institute, which aims to strengthen relations with the contemporary art circuit in Latin America. The physical space of the residences includes studios, kitchen, space for debates and exhibitions, and its program provides two months with curatorship, mentorship with professionals in visual arts and open studio dynamics for exhibition of processes and works. Each edition, four artists are selected by a professional jury. They receive air or land passes, accommodation in a room or apartment located in the Perdizes neighborhood, near Adelina, a R$ 3,000 allowance and a R$ 3,000 prize for the production of works.
