About This Opportunity

The Fulbright Foreign Language Teaching Assistant (FLTA) program offers an extraordinary opportunity for early-career teachers to share their culture and language while gaining invaluable professional and personal growth in the U.S. As a Fulbright FLTA, you will teach Arabic at a U.S. university or college (as a primary or assistant teacher), enhance your English proficiency, enroll in academic courses to enhance your skills, and participate in dynamic cultural exchanges on campus and in local communities that promote mutual understanding —it’s a chance to inspire and be inspired.

Restrictions

Applicants must be resident in Jordan at the time of application and must continue to be resident in Jordan until the beginning of program. Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree in one of the fields listed below from a university recognized by the Jordanian Ministry of Higher Education. The degree should be accompanied by transcripts that demonstrate consistent academic performance suitable for graduate-level study in the U.S., with a minimum grade equivalency of “Good” or above.
