First Indigenous Art Biennial 2026

The main exhibition will take place from February 11 to April 12, 2026 in Buenos Aires, with the central venue at the UCA's Fine Arts Pavilion. The call is directed to indigenous artists or collectives from Argentina and other countries, including urban indigenous people who can demonstrate an active link with their community of origin. Each applicant will be able to present up to three works, created since 2023 and not previously awarded in other competitions. The disciplines enabled include painting, drawing, textile art, ceramics, wood sculpture, video art and digital arts. The selection criterion will prioritize works that, from a contemporary aesthetic, transmit the worldview, spirituality and cultural legacy of indigenous peoples.
