Delfina Foundation Residency Program for Making and Materiality in London
About This Opportunity
Delfina Foundation announces an open call for its Spring 2026 residency season (26 March – 19 June 2026), under the new theme Making and Materiality. This programme brings together artists, makers, designers, and those working across disciplines to explore the intersections between craft and contemporary art. Historically, craft and art have often been separated by institutions, markets, and hierarchies. This programme challenges that division, framing making as a form of knowledge in itself, deeply tied to cultural memory, ecological responsibility, and political realities. Over three months, 10 to 12 practitioners will share Delfina’s Project Space in London as a site for experimentation, research, and dialogue. The programme encourages collaborative inquiry rather than finished outcomes, supporting process-driven exploration, peer-to-peer exchange, and public engagement.
