Deadline Extension: Public Art Commission Opportunity for Illinois Artists New Deadline April 25, 2025
About This Opportunity
The Illinois Arts Council would like to share an important update regarding an art commission opportunity in partnership with the Capital Development Board’s Art-in-Architecture Program (CDB/AIA). The deadline to apply for the Request for Qualifications (RFQ) to create a permanent original public art piece (exterior sculpture) for the Phillip J. Rock Center and School in Glen Ellyn, Illinois, has been extended. The new deadline is Friday, April 25, 2025, at 3:00 PM. This public art commission is open to all professional artists, artisans, or artist-led teams residing and working in the State of Illinois. The committee is looking for one artist or team to create a commissioned artwork that will serve as a joyful, welcoming, multi-sensory, and interactive sculpture at the entrance of the building. The Phillip J. Rock Center and School provides essential services to parents and children with hearing and vision disabilities, and your artwork will contribute to this meaningful space.
Restrictions
