Casa de Cultura Mario Quintana launches open call for projects of exhibitions in the Marilene Bertoncheli space
About This Opportunity
The Casa de Cultura Mario Quintana (CCMQ) announces the open call for the selection of two artistic exhibition projects that will occupy the Marilene Bertoncheli space in 2026. Free submissions are open until October 31, through the form available on the link. Each selected proposal will receive R$ 4,000 in artistic fee (to remunerate the artist and curator), R$ 2,000 in production support (to cover costs with displacements, accommodation or project execution) and R$ 10,000 for the production execution of the work, to execute the entire project. The projects can be visual or integrated arts, individual or collective, with the contemporary art focus. In addition, they can be produced specifically for the Marilene Bertoncheli or totally adapted. The exhibitions will be held in two periods: from March to June 2026 and from December 2026 to February 2027. In the submission, the proponent must indicate which period is preferred to carry out their show. Eligible participants are legal entities with a National Classification of Economic Activities (CNAE) related to artistic or cultural production. The selection will value artistic quality, originality, conceptual coherence, executive feasibility and the use of the Space's characteristics. Proponents residing outside the Porto Alegre Metropolitan Region will have extra points, reinforcing the Casa de Cultura's commitment to circulation and cultural production in the RS interior. To clarify doubts, two virtual meetings will be held to present the edital, on September 8 and 30. The links to participate in the meetings, as well as the other information about the contest, are available on the edital.
Restrictions
People with a Classificação Nacional de Atividades Econômicas (CNAE) related to the artistic or cultural production area can participate. Proponents residing outside the Porto Alegre Metropolitan Region will have extra points.
