Call for Web Residencies No. 21 »Polymorphic Futures«

The Akademie Schloss Solitude invites artists to apply for Web Residencies Call No. 22, themed “Ignore All Previous Instructions”. Curated by !Mediengruppe Bitnik, the call seeks projects that disrupt extractive digital platforms and AI systems through glitch, détournement, and other subversive strategies. Six proposals will be selected to receive a four‑week online residency (22 Sept – 22 Oct 2026), a grant of €1,200, an online presentation on the Akademie’s platform, and access to an optional one‑day online coding workshop on 17 Sept 2026. Applications are free, must be submitted in English via the online platform (https://application.akademie-solitude.de/) between 7 July 2026 and 7 Aug 2026, and may be individual or collective. Eligibility is open to artists of all disciplines, with no age limit, but only one submission per applicant is allowed. Projects must be unfinished, process‑oriented, and suitable for embedding in the Akademie’s online environment. The program aims to foster critical engagement with net culture, surveillance, and AI, providing visibility and support for digital art practices worldwide.
