Call for Applications: ART SUMMER 2025 Artistic Residency
About This Opportunity
Dorożkarnia Cultural Centre in Warsaw announces a call for applications for an artistic residency for young artists from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, North Macedonia, and Moldova. They are looking for students of art disciplines (painting and/or visual arts) who wish to develop their skills during an open-air art residency in Warsaw, from 23 to 31 August 2025. During the residency, participants will work with the urban landscape. They will use contemporary vedutas as inspiration to create monochromatic murals. Landscapes can bring comfort and help build an image of a place, neighborhood, and Warsaw itself. Participants will work outdoors, exploring local views: the Vistula embankment, Siekierkowski Bridge, small houses, charming gardens, and more. These images will be carried in the imagination and transformed into designs for small monochromatic murals on the low walls surrounding Dorożkarnia. Versions of these designs will also be created on small canvases as integral parts of the project.
