Boathouse Sustainable Fashion and Textile Residency 2025 with Risha Roy

The Boathouse Sustainable Fashion & Textile Residency Boathouse aims to foster innovation grounded in environmental and social responsibility. Under the mentorship of Risha Roy, participants will explore circular practices, engage with local craft communities, and co-create solutions that merge traditional knowledge with contemporary sustainable design. The residency seeks to cultivate conscious creators capable of driving systemic change in the fashion and textile sector. Participants will be selected by a jury panel headed by Designer Risha Roy along with eminent Textile designers. Our program is an opportunity to create and focus while being inspired by the unique atmosphere, beauty and nature of Boathouse and to learn and share in the community. The Residency comprises of – – Accommodation and workspace – Indian vegetarian meals – Four sessions with Mentor Risha Roy – Visit to Textile Capital Kutch (450 kms away from Ahmedabad/ 2 Nights 3 days Twin sharing ) – Meet and greet session with fellow designers and artists – Workshop opportunities at Boathouse – Curatorial support
