BERLIN CITY – WORK STIPENDIUMS FOR VISUAL ARTISTS

The stipends are for the artistic development of professionally working artists and fixed artistic groups in the field of visual arts, living in Berlin. Supported are artists who strive for artistic further development or specific work projects such as work on a specific theme, exploration of new/other work techniques, etc. Applicants live and work in Berlin, should have completed a artistic education and/or have a several-year artistic activity in the field of visual arts proven and may not be enrolled in the funding period. Criteria for the award of a stipend are primarily the quality, design power and continuity of previous artistic works. The work stipends are endowed with 16,000 € (8 months) or 24,000 € (12 months) and are paid in monthly rates of 2,000 € of the respective year. With the stipend, a presentation – subject to available budget in 2027 – is also enabled in a Berlin art association.
