The Mobile Arts Council (MAC) in partnership with Spring Hill College announces an open call for its 12‑month Artist Residency Program located in the Murphy Fine Arts Building on the Spring Hill College campus in Mobile, Alabama. Selected resident artists receive a private studio space (approximately 20'5" x 22'5") with 24‑hour access, opportunities for community engagement, and professional promotion through the Council’s networks. The residency culminates in a one‑month exhibition in the professional gallery situated below the studio. Artists are also expected to lead at least two paid workshops during their residency. Applications are accepted until Sunday, August 30, 2026, 11:59 p.m. (Central Time). The program does not charge an application fee, though a studio fee of $250 per month applies.
