Artist in Residence — Gowanus Darkroom
About This Opportunity
Gowanus Darkroom’s residency program is a community based residency. Our goal is to foster inter-community learning and bring people together based on their love of traditional photography. The goal of our residency is to create an opportunity for the film photography community to learn and gather. This award is for a photographer using the film or darkroom medium as the main driver of their work, at any stage in their career. Open to anyone age eighteen and above, who is not currently enrolled in an academic program. This residency will run for 3 months. Our selected resident will have membership level access to our space, including 24 hour access and full reign of all of our equipment. At the end of the residency, you will be asked to lead a community talk, workshop, critique, or gathering of your choosing. This can be any event that brings community together, and can range from social events to talks and workshops in your specialty.
