Art for Peace - LIN Xiang Xiong
About This Opportunity
A Singaporean of Chinese origin, Professor Lin, born in 1945, lived through the horrors of war and experienced exile. Art was his salvation, and for over 60 years, painting has been part of life for LIN Xiang Xiong, helping him stay strong while navigating through difficult years. On December 14, 2025, a museum dedicated to peace, fully conceived and designed by Professor LIN, will open on Penang Island in Malaysia. As a patron of the arts, Professor LIN wishes to bring together artists from across the globe around the theme of peace and proposes the creation of a Prize: the LIN Xiang Xiong Art for Peace Prize, open to all adult artists, with no nationality restrictions.

The work must respond to the theme “Art for Peace.” All techniques and materials will be accepted, with a maximum size of 1.5 x 1.5 x 1.5 m.
