Apply for the Rome Prize

The German Academy Rome Villa Massimo falls under the jurisdiction of the Federal Government’s Commissioner for Cultural Affairs and Media of the Federal Republic of Germany. The award offers a ten-month residency at Villa Massimo in Rome (Italy) to nine (inter)nationally acclaimed artists, including architects, composers, writers and visual artists. The Academy’s second home is Casa Baldi in Olevano Romano (about 50 km east of Rome), where one can apply for three-month fellowships. Fellows receive free housing plus a studio and a monthly fee of 2,500 EUR. Accompanying partners and families with children are welcome.
