Adaptation and Resilience

Adaptation and Resilience is an art and poetry exhibit at Front Porch Gallery that celebrates the ways artists learn to overcome and innovate in spite of adversity and through sheer force of will strive to keep creating. Southern California has suffered a population wide grieving at the staggering losses accumulating from the Los Angeles fires. The loss of lives, homes, businesses and jobs, the devastation to the cultural environment that Los Angeles was to the world. As a population many people fear of future environmental catastrophes, are concerned for political stewardship, and have lost the direction of hope. This is when the arts are the most vital tool we have to advance mankind: to show a way forward, to be creative, to be compassionate, to be outspoken and contentious.
