About This Opportunity
2026 creative grants are opening soon! Brisbane based creatives or not-for-profit community organisations may be eligible to apply for funding of up to $15,000 through one of Brisbane City Council’s creative grants. The Creative Sparks Grants Program is an initiative of Brisbane City Council in partnership with the Queensland Government through Arts Queensland. It supports artists, art workers, cultural workers, creative producers and Brisbane not-for-profit community arts, cultural and historical organisations. Up to $15,000 is available for the creation and presentation of creative projects that are shared with the public with project activities to commence after 13 March 2026. The Lord Mayor’s Creative Fellowships support the professional development of talented emerging and early-career Brisbane based creatives. Up to $10,000 is available for individuals to participate in structured career and professional development opportunities. Project activities to commence after 20 March 2026. Applicants can only apply for one grant.
Restrictions
Applicants must be an individual professional artist, arts worker, cultural worker, or creative producer in the Brisbane Local Government Area (LGA), or a not-for-profit community art, historical and cultural organisation based in the Brisbane LGA employing Brisbane independent artists and arts workers to deliver new projects.
