SPECULATIVE ECOLOGIES 2026 – POROSITIES | 公募

We are excited to open the call for our upcoming Speculative Ecologies screening program: Porosities, a space to think, imagine, and speculate through film about more-than-human worlds, entangled bodies, and the dissolution of fixed boundaries. The program explores how boundaries separating the living from the inert, the organic from the technological, and the individual from their environment are cultural constructs. Moving beyond these constructs reveals permeable boundaries that blur and transmute. We are looking for completed short films of up to 20 minutes that think from within porosity, permeability, and transformation. Works should explore interspecies relationships, bodies in transformation, technologies that permeate, and non-human agency. Speculative ecologies in all forms are welcome: eco-fiction, solarpunk, cli-fi, cyberpunk, classic sci-fi, docufiction, animation, hybrid works, and everything in between. Organized by Sorora e.V. in collaboration with Karne Kunst, Lichtblick Kino, and Cibercamp. Funded by the Senate Department for Culture and Social Cohesion Berlin.
