Informazioni su Questa Opportunità

Maajaam is a working farm and interdisciplinary art hub located six kilometres from Otepää, Southern Estonia. Since 2013 it has hosted irregular residency programmes and, since 2023, accepts year‑round applications. The current open call is linked to the Wild Bits outdoor technological art exhibition and invites artists or collectives to propose installations, interventions or processes that can endure outdoor conditions and incorporate sustainable energy solutions. The residency lasts up to three weeks, offered in two windows (15 June – 5 July 2026 or 17 August – 9 September 2026). Selected participants receive a €3,000 artist fee (gross, all taxes included), a production budget of up to €5,000, and a travel allowance of up to €350 per person within Europe or €700 from outside the EU. Accommodation in the residency house and two meals per day are provided. The programme includes access to studio spaces, a printing press, darkroom, and contemporary equipment, as well as mentorship from the resident artists Timo Toots and Mari‑Liis Rebane. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis via the Wild Bits open‑call portal; selection is by competitive jury with results announced in late February or early March. The call is open to artists and collectives of any nationality, with no explicit age or career‑stage restrictions.
