Territoires inexplorés : un voyage dans l'espace virtuel avec le festival L.E.V. (Appel à candidatures RiT2 n° 3)

Realities in Transition (RiT) invites three experienced VR artists to co‑create a virtual world on the VRChat platform in partnership with L.E.V. Festival. The online residency runs from January to June 2027, culminating in a public premiere at L.E.V. Matadero in September 2027. Each selected artist receives a €10 000 gross grant plus an additional production budget, mentorship from a creative technologist, and collective production support. Applications are open to artists, developers, animators, sound designers, writers and interaction designers with demonstrable VR development experience. The call is free to apply and accepts submissions until 6 November 2026 (extended deadline). Selected participants will work remotely, collaborating via digital tools to build a shared VRChat environment that will be showcased at the festival. The residency emphasizes collaborative creation, experimental XR practice, and the exploration of virtual spaces as artistic media.

Three grants of €10,000 gross per artist, additional production budget up to €15,000 gross, 6‑month online residency, mentoring, workshops, public presentations, and a premiere at L.E.V. Festival.

Individual artists with VR development experience, eligible EU countries (Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Ukraine). Must have skills in Unity, 3D/2D art, animation, sound, narrative, character creation, or UX design.
