Conseil des arts / UCC : programme de résidence pour artistes cinéastes 2027 – Appel à candidatures

The Arts Council and University College Cork (UCC) are offering a Film Artist in Residence for the calendar year 2027. Based in the School of Film, Music and Theatre, the residency provides a €30,000 stipend (€20,000 from the Arts Council and €10,000 from UCC) and a dedicated workspace within the university. The role is split into two phases: from January to June 2027 the artist will engage with students and staff through workshops, mentoring, and public events (capped at four hours per week); from July to December 2027 the artist will focus on their own practice. No accommodation is provided. Applications are submitted by email to filmartist@ucc.ie by 17:30 on Thursday 22 October 2026. Applicants must be professional practising film artists residing in the Republic of Ireland and have at least one feature‑length film or creative documentary credit exhibited in cinema. The selection panel will assess artistic track record, quality of the proposed engagement, and potential impact on the artist’s practice.
