Concours d'écriture de mélodies pour les Dorset Fiddlers

The Dorset Fiddlers are delighted to announce their second annual Tune Writing Competition. The competition seeks new music that can be juxtaposed with historic Dorset manuscripts in the ensemble’s concerts, encouraging innovation within the folk tradition. Composers are invited to submit original tunes by 1st October 2026. Selected works will be performed by the Dorset Fiddlers in their autumn and spring programmes, offering exposure to a wider audience. No entry fee is required. Detailed guidelines and terms are provided via PDF links. The competition is open to composers of any nationality and does not impose age or residency restrictions. This is a recurring, annual call for submissions.
