SensoryScapes 2026

SensoryScapes 2026 is an open call for artists, designers, performers, musicians, filmmakers, writers, technologists and other interdisciplinary creatives to join a four‑to‑six‑week residency at Studio 88 Artist Residency in Doi Saket, near Chiang Mai, Thailand. The programme runs from 1 November to 13 December 2026, coinciding with the Loy Krathong and Yi Peng lantern festivals and Chiang Mai Design Week. Residents receive private accommodation in a self‑contained bungalow, a private working space, shared studio facilities, basic equipment and technical support, as well as studio visits, workshops, public sharing sessions, and networking opportunities. The residency includes promotion of the artist’s profile on the Studio 88 website and social media, basic research assistance, and administrative support on‑site. Applications are accepted now until 16 August 2026 via an online Google Form. There is no application fee; a residency fee will be invoiced only upon acceptance, based on the residency‑costs page. Selected artists will be notified by late August 2026 and will present their work during Chiang Mai Design Week. The call is open to creators of all ages and nationalities, with no explicit restrictions beyond the focus on interdisciplinary, experimental practice.
