Institut royal des peintres aquarellistes – 215e exposition 2027

The Royal Institute of Painters in Water Colours (RI) seeks the best contemporary water‑based media paintings for its 215th Exhibition, the largest of its kind, featuring over 400 works at Mall Galleries, London. The call is open to any artist aged 18 or over worldwide. Submissions are online only and run from 12 October 2026 (12 noon) to 22 January 2027 (2 pm). Selected works will be exhibited in the gallery and online, with the opportunity to sell, win prizes worth over £15,000, and attend a private view. Artists may enter up to six works (maximum four may be selected), each completed within the last three years and not exceeding 240 cm × 150 cm. Acceptable media include watercolour, water‑soluble pencils, acrylic, ink or gouache on suitable supports. A non‑refundable submission fee of £22 per work (£14.50 for artists 35 or under) applies. The exhibition opens 24 March 2027 and closes 10 April 2027. Additional support includes a free artist resource pack and various material awards.
