Séjours d'été 2026 consacrés à la céramique chez Well Traveled Wares (Portugal)

Well Traveled Wares invites artists to join its 2026 summer ceramics retreats held at the Villa do Barro residency house, an hour north of Lisbon in the Portuguese countryside. Three guest artists—Jordan Coons (July 12‑18), Helen Rasekhy (August 30‑Sept 4) and Stela Ivanova (dates pending)—will lead intensive week‑long workshops focused on their signature techniques, from double‑walled pottery to woven porcelain and clay imprintology. Participants receive unlimited studio access, most meals, and guided day trips to nearby cultural sites such as Caldas da Rainha, Óbidos and Alcobaça. Lodging is provided on a limited‑capacity basis (four beds) with optional nearby accommodations if the house is full. Pricing is tiered: an all‑inclusive package covering lodging, meals and activities; a workshop‑only option; or a workshop‑inclusive option without breakfast and lodging. Applicants are asked to email Nicole (nicole@welltraveledwares.com) to join the wait‑list; spaces are allocated on a first‑come, first‑served basis until the retreat fills. The program is open to artists of any age or nationality; participants cover their own travel costs.
