Millay Arts, one of America’s longest‑running multidisciplinary artist residencies, is seeking an experienced, mission‑driven Residency Director to lead the design, delivery, and continuous advancement of its residency program. Reporting to the Executive Director, the Residency Director will oversee all aspects of the residency program—from application and selection through resident experience and program evaluation—including managing the artist‑application process, directing the jury, supervising facilities, staff, and budgets, and fostering alumni engagement. The role is full‑time, on‑site at the historic Steepletop estate in Austerlitz, New York, and includes evenings and weekends. Candidates must have deep experience managing an artist residency or comparable cultural program, strong organizational and project‑management skills, and a commitment to diversity and hospitality for artists. Compensation is a salary of $55,000–$65,000 with health insurance and paid holidays/vacation.
