The Scheme for Scholarships to Young Artistes in Different Cultural Fields, administered by the Centre for Cultural Resources and Training (CCRT) under the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, offers a two‑year scholarship to young Indian artists across a wide range of cultural disciplines including Indian classical music, dance, theatre, mime, visual arts, folk, traditional and indigenous arts, and light classical music. Eligible candidates must be Indian nationals aged 18 to 25 as of 1 April of the application year, possess at least five years of training, and demonstrate proficiency in their chosen field. The scholarship provides a monthly stipend of Rs. 5,000 to cover living expenses, travel, books, art materials, and tuition or training charges. Applicants are required to submit a self‑attested application online, accompanied by educational qualifications, age proof, photographs, and, where applicable, evidence of previous work. Selection is merit‑based, with interviews or performances conducted by an expert committee. The scheme is recurring, with annual editions, and offers no application fee.
