L'avenir des archives : à qui appartiennent-elles, au juste ?

The Photographers' Gallery invites submissions for its one‑day event “Whose Archive is it Anyway?” on 16 April 2027, the first in a three‑part series exploring the future of archives and archiving. The call seeks speakers who can share real‑life experiences rather than academic papers, focusing on topics such as artists’ and photographers’ legacies, reclaimed photographic archives, family archives, counter‑archives, grassroots initiatives, ownership, digital preservation and technologies that reduce barriers to archives.
