The Echo Fund, administered by MusicOregon in partnership with the City of Portland’s Office of Arts & Culture, provides small grants of $1,000 to $5,000 to support independent, working musicians based in Portland. Grants fund non‑performance projects such as recording, production, mixing, mastering, equipment purchases, promotional materials, and physical‑media creation. Applicants must be working musicians who reside in a Portland zip code (970xx, 971xx, 972xx), be at least 18 years old, and apply as an individual or a legally organized group (sole proprietor, LLC, partnership, etc.). The program does not fund live‑performance activities, personal expenses, or nonprofit/commercial entities. Applications are submitted through the Good Grants portal, and the grant cycle opens on August 4, 2026 and closes on September 8, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. (Pacific). Awards are announced in November 2026, with grant distribution in December 2026. The grant is free to apply.
